The Paediatric First Aid Course is ideal for anyone who is working with children or working towards a child nursing qualification. Not only is it designed for people working with young children but it is also perfect for any parents who would like to improve their First Aid knowledge in order to keep their own children safe.

  • Choking
  • External bleeding
  • Broken Bones
  • Sickle cell crisis
  • Diabetic emergencies
  • Asthma attack
  • Allergic reaction
  • Meningitis
  • Febrile convulsions
  • The effects of extreme heat and cold
  • Electric shock
  • Burns or scalds
  • Poisons
  • Stings and bites
  • Minor injuries
  • Conditions affecting the eyes, ears and nose
  • Head and spinal injuries
  • Anaphylaxis
  • Suffering from shock.

This course can be done over 1 or 2 days depending on the First Aid knowledge of the candidates.

All candidates must attend the full course in order to receive certification. Practical and theory examinations throughout the course to ensure competence. All certification will last up to 3 years before needing refreshed. If not refreshed within 3 years then the certificate is void.
